Trainer License

An account can have up to four characters. You play with one at a time; the others stay in offline hunt, as if you had left the game, until each one's tank of hours fills up. Switching is one click: the one you were playing starts hunting offline and the other takes over.

This is different from having two accounts, which stays forbidden and gets a permanent ban (see One account per person). Here it is one person, one account, several characters.

The four slots

Each slot is a card on the characters screen. The card shows whether the slot is taken, open or locked, and what it takes to open it.

Slot How to open Cost If…
Main everyone has it free never goes away
Membership license have Premium active on the account 30,000 gold, once Premium expires: the character in this slot goes dormant until the account renews
Disciple form a Disciple in the Hall of Veterans 150,000 gold, once never goes away
Sapphire License buy it on the card itself 600 Sapphire, once, no gold never goes away

An open slot takes a new character (you pick the starter) or a character bought on the Trainer Market. The order is free: you can open the Sapphire one before the Disciple one.

Four is the cap. There is no fifth slot, paid or not: if you want another character, sell one of the four.

Forming a Disciple

In the Hall of Veterans, Mentoring tab, a veteran with an Ascension star (reached level 100, went through the Altar, came back to 100 and maxed the Bond) forms your Disciple. The veteran stays in the Hall with the mentor plaque, and its bonus keeps working. It is one Disciple per account.

A character that changed hands (bought on the Market) cannot form a Disciple, even with veterans.

What belongs to the account and what belongs to each character

Account: Sapphire, Premium and the licenses. Premium activated on any character counts for all of them: 24-hour offline cap on every one, membership slot lit.

Each character: hunt, gold, items, Pokémon, raids, tasks, Battle Pass, the Lucky Lady's free token, titles, name colors, skins, and the Founder and Genesis seals. The seal belongs to whoever redeemed the pack: if that character is sold, the number travels with it.

Main character only: the Sapphire of day 28 of the calendar. The other characters get 500,000 gold instead.

Characters on the same account do not trade with each other on the Market, do not fight each other in the arena, do not join the same hunt party, and one's bed, incubator and shop count as yours for the other, with no rent. To move items between them, use Send to… in the bag.

Offline hunt and switching

Whoever is not playing hunts at the offline pace until the tank fills: 12 hours, or 24 with Premium. On the characters screen and on the side card in the game you see how many hours each one has gathered, when it fills up, and an estimate of gold and experience. A full tank means it is time to switch and collect.

Switching characters reloads the game. The one you were playing starts counting hours right away, losing nothing.
