The idle model
Your lead hunts on elapsed time, with the game open or closed. Whether you were away for 3 seconds or 12 hours, you get the full result at once when you come back.
The core idea
What matters is how much time has passed since you last collected your rewards. That time is what turns into the kills, experience, gold, loot and catches waiting for you.
Why this works in your favor
| Benefit | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Offline progress | Time away turns into kills, exp and loot the next time you open the game. Nothing is lost by closing (up to the 12h cap). |
| Fair to active players | An offline window earns 80% of what a live window would: a nudge to play, never a punishment. |
| No forced farming | You don't have to keep the game open to avoid losing out. Close it, come back later, same result either way. |
What you get for free
- No penalty for closing the game. Time is counted the same way, online or offline.
- Poké Ball regen also follows elapsed time: +1 every 30 min, up to 25. Offline or online, it's identical.
