Badge
Your Badge is your account's ruler. It answers one question: up to what level a Pokémon obeys you.
How it is calculated
Badge = your trainer level + 20.
A level 10 trainer has Badge 30. A level 40 trainer has Badge 60. Every trainer level raises the Badge by 1.
Your Badge is always on screen: it is the golden seal next to your name, at the top. Click it to open the Trainer and read the full explanation.
Obedience
Every Pokémon remembers the level it had when it joined your account. That number decides obedience:
- Joined within your Badge? It obeys forever. It can grow to level 100 and keep obeying — raising your own is never punished.
- Joined above your Badge (bought on the market, received in a trade, or caught before the update that made every new catch start at level 1)? It fights capped at your Badge level until your account grows.
Nothing is lost. The Pokémon's level and XP stay saved; it just fights with less power while above the ruler. Once your Badge reaches its level, it fights at full strength.
A bought or traded Pokémon counts by the level it had when it arrived. Buy a level 100 with Badge 60 and it fights as level 60 — and grows with you.
Where the ruler applies
In all combat: hunting, Boss Room, raids, arena and tournaments. Rankings also show the power a Pokémon really fights with.
The Badge does not lock the map
You can enter any stage on a floor you have already opened, even far above your level. Combat is what charges you for it: on a much stronger stage kills get rare, your team goes down constantly and your output collapses. What rules the map is the floor boss.
Tasks now train YOU
Delivering a task now grants trainer XP on top of the usual rewards. The higher the task tier, the more XP. It is the fastest way to raise your Badge besides hunting.
