Marketplace
The player marketplace is where gold, items, pokémon, eggs, and Safira change hands. You pick which currency you want to be paid in: gold or Safira. Whatever you list is held safely as a guarantee: it leaves your save immediately and only returns if you cancel. This guarantees there's never an offer without funds, nor an item sold twice.
What can be traded
| type | detail |
|---|---|
| Items | Only curated catalog items. The special (VIP) item category is rejected. Soulbound items are rejected too (today no ordinary item is soulbound). |
| Pokémon | Only mons in the Box (lead and team are never tradeable). The whole mon leaves the save and is held as a guarantee. Founder companions are soulbound, they never enter the market. Locked pokémon (🔒, see Releasing pokémon and Dust) don't enter either — unlock before listing. |
| Eggs | Only eggs awaiting incubation; the species stays hidden until hatch (only rarity and parents are public). |
| Safira | The game's sanctioned Safira↔gold bridge. You pick the amount and the gold price per Safira. Does not expire; only sells or cancels. |
Gold or Safira
When you list something, pick the currency of the price. Buyers pay in that currency, and that is what you receive.
- Works for items, pokémon and eggs, in fixed price, auction, offer and buy order.
- Safira is still sold for gold. It is the bridge between the two currencies, which is why you cannot buy Safira with Safira.
- An offer or bid always uses the listing's currency. You cannot offer gold on a Safira listing.
- The currency filter shows only gold listings or only Safira ones. With both mixed, sorting by price groups each currency on its own, because 5 Safira and 5,000 gold are not comparable.
Where to list
You do not have to open the market to sell. The List on the market button shows up right in the detail panel of whatever you are looking at:
- Items: click the item in your backpack or depot. The center panel shows the button, and you pick quantity and price per unit there.
- Pokémon: click the mon inside the Box. You can choose fixed price or auction.
The market's Sell tab still works the same, with everything on one screen. Eggs and Safira are only listed there.
Fees
The market has two fees:
| fee | default | rule |
|---|---|---|
| Sell fee (gold) | 6% | of the sale total, debited from the seller's gross. Rounds up, but never eats the whole value (the seller always gets at least 1). |
| Sell fee (Safira) | 4%, at most 200 | of the sale total. Rounds down, so a small sale pays nothing: 24 Safira pay 0, 100 pay 4, and from 5,000 up the fee caps at 200. |
| List fee | 2%, minimum 5 gold | of the asking total, non-refundable, charged when you post. A listing priced in Safira pays a flat 5,000 gold. |
How the guarantee keeps trades safe
- Listing holds the item: items, mon, egg, or Safira leave your save the moment you list them. They return only if you cancel or the listing expires.
- Offers & bids hold the value: the gold (or the Safira, when the listing is priced in Safira) leaves your save the moment you make the offer, and it's refunded if you're outbid, declined, cancel, or it expires. There's never an offer without the money behind it.
- Buying happens all at once: the buyer pays, the seller gets paid (minus the fee), and the item is delivered, together. It never gets stuck half-done: either the whole trade goes through, or nothing does.
- Every movement is recorded in your history, and accidentally repeating a purchase never charges or delivers twice.
- Buy delivery: mon goes to the buyer's Box; egg goes to the incubation queue; items go to the backpack then the depot; Safira goes to the buyer's Safira balance.
The offer book
Every listing page shows all active offers, highest first.
- Everyone sees the amounts, nobody sees the names. You know there are 3 offers and the highest is 8,400, but not who made them. That way you can decide what to bid without the trade turning into harassment.
- The listing owner sees the names, and accepts or declines right there.
- Your own offer is highlighted with a "your offer" tag.
- You can cancel your offer or change it to another amount at any time, on the same page. Changing it returns the old gold and reserves the new amount in one go.
- You keep one offer per listing. Offering again on the same listing replaces the previous one.
- An offer has to be below the asking price. To pay full price, use Buy now.
Alerts (the bell)
The bell in the menu keeps what happened while you were away. It tells you when:
- someone makes an offer on your listing;
- someone bids on your auction;
- your offer is accepted;
- you get outbid in an auction;
- your listing sells;
- you win an auction.
Clicking an alert takes you straight to that listing page, where you can accept the offer.
Alerts are stored, so nothing is lost if you are offline or have the game closed. With the game open, a new alert also pops in the corner with a short sound. You can turn the sound off with the button inside the alerts box.
Listing limits
The market is open to everyone from day one: there is no minimum account age or trainer level to trade.
The limits below apply per account:
| rule | default | with Premium | note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listing lifetime | 3 days | 3 days | once it expires, what you listed comes back to you |
| Max open item orders | 10 | 30 | per account |
| Max mon orders | 3 | 20 | mons and eggs share this cap |
| Max active offers/bids | 5 | 25 | per account |
| Max buy orders | 3 | 20 | per account |
Only what is open counts: cancel it, sell it or let it expire and the slot comes right back. The game shows how much you already used ("2/3") where you post, so you can see the cap before you try. With Premium active all four caps go up together; when Premium ends nothing is deleted, you just cannot open new slots until you are back under the normal limit.
Auctions (English)
Listings can be auctions with rising bids:
| detail | default |
|---|---|
| Min duration | 12 h |
| Max duration | 72 h |
| Anti-snipe | a late bid extends the close by +5 min |
| Min bid increment | +5% over the leading bid |
- The previous bid is refunded as soon as the new bid comes in.
- Whoever is already leading cannot bid over themselves.
- An auction that already has an active bid cannot be cancelled.
Star an auction
Every auction has a star. Click it to follow that auction, click again to stop. The star shows up on the showcase card, on the list and on the listing page.
Starring is just a mark of yours: it is not a bid, it reserves nothing and it costs no gold or Safira. Nobody else sees what you starred.
Then turn on the Favorites only filter to see just the auctions you are watching. Together with the ending soon sorting, it is the fast way to not miss the moment to bid.
- You can star up to 100 auctions per account.
- When an auction ends, it leaves your list on its own.
Buy orders
"I buy N× X at Y" style: you post a buy order and the full total is held as a guarantee, in the currency you choose (gold or Safira). Partial fills are allowed. Items only (there are no mon or egg buy orders).
Featured (paid ad)
Your listing can go up to a Featured strip at the top of the market, where everyone looks first. It costs 10 Safira and lasts 24 hours.
It works on both sides of the market:
- what you sell (item, pokémon, egg, key, deed or Safira);
- your buy orders. A featured "looking for Charizard, paying 200" is a promise with the money already set aside, and whoever sees it knows that.
The ad text is written by the game, with the item, the price and the market reference price next to it. That way anyone can tell right away whether the deal is good. The feature also becomes a post in our Discord trade forum, with the same text. Anyone who wants to talk about the listing can reply there.
| rule | value |
|---|---|
| Price | 10 Safira |
| Duration | 24 hours |
| Active features per account | 2 at the same time |
| Slots in the strip | 6, and they rotate between all active features |
| Listing too close to the end | cannot be featured (less than 15 minutes of life left) |
The slots rotate: when there are more features than slots, the strip moves from group to group, so nobody gets stuck behind whoever paid first.
Featuring buys attention and nothing else. Price, market ordering, fees, listing limits and buying priority stay the same for everyone. A featured listing shows the same 7 day median and the same floor as any other, precisely so you can compare.
To feature: the My orders tab (or Buy orders, for yours), feature button.
Bond does not come with a purchase
Bond resets to zero when a pokemon changes owner. This applies to fixed-price sales, auctions, buy orders and player-to-player trades, and it applies even if you sell a pokemon and buy it back later.
| Rule | What happens |
|---|---|
| Ownership reset | The buyer starts the bar at zero, always. There is no "pre-bonded" pokemon for sale. |
| Sleeping Essence | The rarity Essence arrives one step down, and wakes once you raise 20 levels with it. |
| Quarantine | A pokemon you just received can only be relisted after 48 hours. |
| Account age | To list a pokemon that already has Bond, your account needs to be at least 48 hours old. |
Item slots, seal socket, stats and the Essence come back once you fill the bar hunting with it: about three weeks, against one week for whoever caught it. Authorship does not travel either: a bought pokemon never enters the Hall of Veterans, never ascends at the Ascension Altar and never donates in an Inheritance Capsule.
Finding what you want
The Filters button opens the panel with everything. Whatever is on shows up written out in a row of tags under the bar, and clicking a tag turns that filter off. Clear all wipes the filters and keeps your sorting.
The filter searches the whole market, not just recent listings. The number in the footer is the real total.
Work in any category:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Price | Minimum and maximum range. You choose whether the number talks about the order total or the price per unit. In a lot of 999 potions at 10 gold, the total is 9,990 and the unit is 10. |
| Fits my wallet | Only what your current balance pays for. |
| Sale type | Fixed price only, or auctions only. |
| Ends within 24h | What is about to close, so you can place a last bid or grab it before it expires. |
| Listed in the last 24h | What showed up since yesterday. Turn one on and the other turns off: a listing rarely appears and expires on the same day. |
| Auction with no bids | Auctions nobody has bid on yet. That is usually where the bargains are. |
| Hide my listings | Takes your own listings out of the list. |
| Favorites only | Only the auctions you marked with the star. |
Pokémon:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| IVs | Tap a step (50%, 70%, 80%, 90% or perfect) or type the exact range. It is the same number shown on the pokémon card, so the filter never disagrees with what you are looking at. |
| IV by stat | Tap the stat (HP, Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, Spe) to require 31, and lower the number if you want less. This is the breeder's filter: a pokémon at 70% can have Speed 31 and one at 85% can have 12, and the average does not tell them apart. |
| Training (EV) | Trained, untrained, or full EV. The training a previous owner invested with vitamins comes along with the pokémon. |
| Level | Minimum and maximum range. |
| Type | Matches both types: searching Flying finds a Charizard. |
| Nature and minimum rarity | The exact nature, and "Epic or better" upwards. |
| Knows the move | Type a move name and only pokémon that know it show up, active or stored in the bank. |
| Show only | Shiny, holding an item, Founder companion. |
In the Pokémon category, sorting gains best IV, from the most perfect down.
Items: category (the same bag drawer), rarity and lot size, so you can find the 100 potions at once instead of paging by eye. The category and rarity chips show how many listings exist in each one, counting only what is on sale right now within the rest of your filter.
The Box has the same IV, training, type, nature and level filters, plus duplicates and "ready to evolve". See Fossils, Lab and Box.
Discovery & trust
Each listing shows who's selling and gives price context so you can decide well:
- Seller identity: name, Founder badge/number, and completed-sales count (trust badge).
- Price stats per product: 7-day median, floor (lowest open listing), last sale, and 7-day volume. Each currency has its own: an item's gold price never mixes with its Safira price.
- Mon history: the public history of that same mon, its "asset page": every time it changed trainers, whether by market sale, trade or gift between players. Each line says who handed it over, who received it, the date and, when it was a sale, the price and the currency. History is part of the value.
- Your statement: your trade history for the last 90 days.
- Latest trades in the world: in the History tab, the Global button shows the sales that just closed, from everyone.
Latest trades in the world
Each row tells you what was sold, for how much, when, who sold it, and which door the sale came out of: fixed price, auction, offer, or buy order. Next to the value comes the comparison with that product's 7-day median, like "42% above the median", which is the quick way to know whether the price was high or low. Clicking a row takes you to the open listings for that product.
At the top sits the last-24-hours summary: how many trades closed, how much gold and Safira they moved, and what the biggest sale was.
There is a search box. You can look up a product name ("charizard", "stone", "egg") or the name of whoever sold it, and the list shows only what matches. The 24-hour summary follows the search: with a name typed in, the numbers are for that slice, not for the whole market. Clearing the box brings the full list back.
Buyers don't show up. Sellers are already visible in the storefront, but a buyer never chose to appear in a public list.
Protections
The market runs protections against bots and against selling items outside the game behind the scenes, to keep trading fair. They act without getting in the way of honest play, legitimate trades go through normally. Trading Safira for gold is the game's official value bridge and doesn't trip any alert.
